Puigpelat has concluded the Mare de Déu de la Llet Festival with a day dedicated to its most deeply rooted traditions, including the blessing of children and the traditional moixiganga dance.

The festive day in Puigpelat, held on Sunday, April 12, was marked by the revival of the most emblematic elements of the Mare de Déu de la Llet Festival. The events began with the awakening of the 'majorales', followed by a solemn mass in honor of the patron saint at the parish church of Santa Maria.
During the Eucharist, several significant blessings took place: that of the ribbon of the Pi, that of the ribbon of the Puigpelat flag, and, especially moving, the traditional blessing of the town's children. The moixiganga dance performed a popular dance inside the church, paying homage to the Mare de Déu de la Llet.
One of the culminating moments was when the senior 'majorala', accompanied by the junior, ascended to the balcony of the Town Hall to tie the ribbon of the Mare de Déu de la Llet to the town's flag, a symbolic gesture of protection. The morning concluded with the traditional sardana dance and a popular aperitif in Plaça Verdaguer, courtesy of the Town Hall.
Subsequently, attention shifted to the Puigpelat pine tree, where the senior 'majorala' changed the ribbon and the area was blessed. The group Bufalodre performed the muixeranga music, followed again by the moixiganga dance. In front of the church, the small firecracker display was lit by the new 'majorala' and a floral offering was made at the shrine of the Mare de Déu de la Llet.
The festival concluded at six in the afternoon at the Casal Puigpelatenc with the screening of audiovisuals by the Grup Excursionista del Camp de Tarragona-Puigpelat.
