Two of the main novelties of the Santa Àgata Festival in Capmany were the presence of the Clos d’Agon winery from Calonge (Baix Empordà) as a special guest at the Wine Tasting, and the debut of the new acoustic regulation system in the large hall of the Sindicat el Parral. Furthermore, the good weather, with a clearly spring-like atmosphere, accompanied the weekend of events.
The Wine Tasting, held on Friday, exceeded two hundred participants and was led by sommelier Laura Masramon. Attendees were able to sample proposals from local wineries and those from Baix Empordà. Producer Marc Rodà complemented the experience with special tapas made with the recovered native turnip, the Negret de Capmany.
The large Sindicat hall, which hosted the tasting, has been dedicated to the architect Joan Antoni Rodeja Roca. The festival included a wide cultural offering for all ages, featuring the magic of Charlotte, musical performances by Sunmorenao Duo, DJ Lia Jensen, and Cece Giannotti & Aprés Minuit, and the traditional sardanas and Sunday concert by La Principal de la Bisbal.
