Intense winds sweeping across Catalonia have resulted in three minor injuries in Camarasa, alongside numerous disruptions such as fallen trees and road closures, with gusts reaching 170 km/h in several regions.

A woman and two minors sustained minor injuries due to a metal sheet falling at a campsite in Camarasa, in the Noguera region. The incident, which occurred near the Sant Llorenç de Montgai reservoir, required attention from the Emergency Medical System (SEM) and the transfer of those affected to the Arnau de Vilanova Hospital in Lleida.
Wind gusts have been particularly strong, reaching 168.5 km/h in Portbou and at the Santuari de Queralt. Other significant readings include 141.5 km/h at the Darnius-Boadella Reservoir, 130 km/h at Tosa d'Alp, and 127 km/h in Berga. These winds have generated over 600 calls to the 112 emergency number and more than 500 alerts to the Generalitat Firefighters, mostly concentrated in the Girona Emergency Region.

"It will probably extend until Monday, but with less intensity."

Imma Solé · Deputy Director of Civil Protection
The disruptions have extended to the road network, with a dozen roads closed due to fallen trees in regions such as Alt Empordà, Garrotxa, Ripollès, and Gironès. Affected routes include the GI-502 in Darnius and the GIV-5221 between Montagut and Camprodon. Furthermore, train services on lines R11 (between Figueres and Portbou) and R3 (between Vic and Ripoll) have been preventively suspended, with alternative road transport provided.
Concurrently, heavy snowfall is affecting the Western Pyrenees, with the snowline dropping to 600 meters. A dozen roads are impacted, especially in the Vall d'Aran, Pallars Sobirà, and Alta Ribagorça, including closures on the C-28 at the Bonaigua pass and the requirement for snow chains on sections like the N-260 at the Cantó pass.
