The Albera area, a natural park in the Alt Empordà region, hides municipalities rich in agricultural products, especially vineyards and olive groves, in addition to housing important megalithic monuments. This itinerary, described on the Itinerànnia website, is a long proposal of approximately 40 kilometers.

If the option of cycling is chosen, the journey can be completed without extreme difficulty, covering the lower part from Vilars, Espolla, Sant Climent Sescebes, Capmany, Cantallops and up to the Castell de Requesens. If walking is preferred, it is recommended to divide it into two different days to fully enjoy the captivating landscape.
According to the technical sheet provided by Itinerànnia, the total distance to cover is 42.63 kilometers. The route features a maximum altitude of 716 meters and a minimum of 73 meters, with a cumulative elevation gain and descent of 1,098 meters.
