The Empuriabrava-Castelló team could achieve promotion to Segona Catalana this Saturday if they secure the three necessary points in the local derby against Esplais in Castelló d'Empúries.

The match, scheduled for half past seven in the evening, not only promises the usual excitement of a derby but also offers the possibility for the home team to be crowned champions of Tercera Catalana. A victory would mathematically secure their advancement to the higher category.
Currently, the team enters the penultimate matchday with a six-point lead over Bellcaire, their main rival. This difference was maintained after the leader drew in Monells (1-1) and Bellcaire thrashed Portbou (0-7) last week. Thanks to a better head-to-head 'average', Empuriabrava-Castelló only needs to maintain this lead over Bellcaire in the final two matchdays to secure the title.
Meanwhile, Bellcaire has practically guaranteed second place, which would allow them to compete in the promotion play-offs. Base Roses, in third place, is eight points behind with only nine points left to play for, making their chances of direct promotion remote and dependent on a very favorable combination of results.
