The incident was reported around 9:45 AM. The fire started inside a catering establishment located at the corner of Sant Llàtzer and Méndez Núñez streets in the capital of Alt Empordà.

According to the Figueres City Council, Firefighters, Local Police, and Emergency Medical Services (SEM) units were deployed to the scene to manage the emergency.

As a precaution, the street has been closed to traffic to allow emergency crews to work. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the blaze and assessing the damage.
