A joint Kanpai operation by the Mossos d'Esquadra, the National Police, and the Local Police of Castelló d'Empúries took place in Empuriabrava, leading to the identification of eleven individuals and one arrest for immigration-related matters.

The operation, carried out this Tuesday morning, also resulted in the opening of an immigration file. Furthermore, several electricity supply cuts due to fraud were made as part of the inspection of ten apartment blocks in the town.
This action is part of the Kanpai plan, an initiative by the Mossos d'Esquadra, supported by other security forces, to combat repeat offending in Catalonia. The main goal is to reduce crime, curb the activities of repeat offenders, and enhance the public's sense of security.
Kanpai operations are characterized by being long-duration macro-operations, with agents deployed in strategic points to conduct identity checks, background verifications, inspections of premises and vehicles, and surveillance of areas considered "hot spots".
