The Dolça Tardor group in Figueres commemorates its 25th anniversary on July 11th with a dinner show in Plaça Catalunya, an event celebrating the group's trajectory and its inclusive philosophy.

The Dolça Tardor group from Figueres reaches its twenty-fifth anniversary, a milestone that will be celebrated on July 11th with a dinner show in the city's Plaça Catalunya. This social and cultural project, driven by Rosa Maria Malé and her daughter Ita Custey, has become a benchmark thanks to its welcoming philosophy.
According to Rosa Maria Malé, the group's founder, the sole requirement for joining is "to be a good person," as the ability to dance can be learned over time. Malé recalls the group's beginnings twenty-five years ago, starting with nine people in her living room, and emphasizes the satisfaction of reaching this point with the loyal support of the Figueres public.
The group found a space to rehearse and grow thanks to the support of the Casino Menestral Figuerenc, a collaboration that has been key to its continuity. Ita Custey, who has become the "helmsman of the boat," has been instrumental in extending the project's life, contributing her experience in dance and theatre.
The event on July 11th will begin at half-past eight in the evening and will include a dinner with surprises, followed by a shorter show than what is usually presented at the Teatre El Jardí. Tickets cost 20 euros and are available at the Casino Menestral Figuerenc, with a limited capacity of around two hundred people, expandable to three hundred.
Custey has stressed that the organization does not aim for profit but to cover costs and offer a celebration adapted to current possibilities, thus demonstrating the group's selfless spirit. The main celebration, with cake and cava, will take place on November 22nd at the Teatre El Jardí.
The group has become a second family for its members, with several generations actively participating. Rosa Maria Malé compares her work to sowing a seed in "the best land in the world, that of Empordà," which has flourished over the years, creating a legacy passed down through families.
