The project selected by the judging panel, which convened on May 28, 2026, highlights its analysis of the textile sector, a key economic driver in the late medieval town. The research focuses on the weavers' trade between 1340 and 1360, based on the examination and analysis of notarial protocols.
Ariadna Comas Leria's work, a graduate in History and Master's in Humanities Research from the University of Girona, explores the economic and social aspects of the weavers' collective, including apprenticeships, marriage contracts, and wills. It also aims to analyze the impact of the period's demographic crisis on this sector.
The grant, linked to the Festival Terra de Trobadors, comes with a financial award of €8,000.00 and includes the publication of the research in the "Estudis Medievals" collection of the Museu d’Història Medieval de la Cúria-Presó, s. XIV.

The winning project aims to offer a new perspective on the world of work and artisans in the count's town, focusing on a very specific space, time, and group. This theme will also be the focus of the XXXV Festival Terra de Trobadors in 2027.
