FiraTàrrega concluded its second day with a large audience turnout, coinciding with the Diada, and revealed significant economic figures for the theatre sector.

Companies participating in FiraTàrrega have generated approximately 6 million euros in the six months following their presence over the last two years. This figure was announced during the 19th edition of the lunch meeting organized by Catalan Arts, an initiative supported by the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (ICEC).
The executive director of FiraTàrrega, Abigail Ballester, highlighted that 40% of these companies' turnover comes directly from sales and contacts made during the event. Ballester also detailed other economic indicators, such as the 1,800 overnight stays managed by the festival and the distribution of 7,850 catering tickets for 20 dining establishments, totaling 39,250 euros. The festival's team comprises 218 people.
Meanwhile, the acting director of the Markets Area at ICEC, Mireia Madroñero, emphasized the fair's role as a strategic market for street arts and its capacity to host professionals. Catalan Arts aims to enhance the international visibility of Catalan companies. Yesterday, 33 companies presented their projects to around a hundred international professionals.
Regarding the program, the day featured notable performances such as Bo Família by Marie de Jongh, an itinerant piece addressing the abuse of power. No tireu ànecs al riu, by Toti Toronell, a small-format show centered on a clown, also received positive reception.
At Plaça de les Nacions, the Spanish premiere of Wazac by A-Run Crew took place, combining urban dance and acrobatics. At the Teatre Ateneu, the company Vero Cendoya presented Una brillant imperfecció (o mort d’un pianista), an inclusive play about disability. This session included an assistance system for individuals with hearing loss.
Late yesterday, 1,550 campers had registered at the municipal campsite. Paid performances reached 75% occupancy, with 46 sessions and 10 sold-out shows. Today, Saturday, is expected to be the busiest day, with 67 scheduled performances.
