Girona's culinary scene has expanded its excellence as four local restaurants were awarded their first sun in the 2026 Repsol Guide during a gala held this Monday in Tarragona.

The new awardees include Dvisi in Palamós, 539, Plats Forts in Puigcerdà, Fontané in Sant Julià de Ramis, and Maràngels in Sant Gregori. These additions reinforce the region's gastronomic prestige, joining established icons like El Celler de Can Roca and Les Cols.
The Repsol Guide highlighted the trend of 'gastro bars,' exemplified by Martín Comamala's work in Puigcerdà. Meanwhile, the Roca brothers' new venture, Fontané, was recognized for its elevated take on traditional Catalan roots. Catalonia remains the leading region in Spain with a total of 122 awarded restaurants.
