The agenda for the ordinary plenary session of the Portbou City Council, scheduled for August 18th at 7 PM in the Plenary Hall, includes several significant items for municipal management. Among the topics to be addressed are the approval of the previous minutes and the monitoring of mayoral decrees.
Information will be provided on the resolution from the Directorate General for the Promotion of Democratic Memory regarding the declaration of a democratic memory site in Portbou. Furthermore, the award of the concession contract for the water supply and sewage service of the municipality will be approved.
The executive project for the creation and maintenance of perimeter fire prevention strips will also be definitively approved, along with the initial approval of the seventh modification to the subsidiary planning regulations of the municipal area.
The session will also feature the approval of the agreement extension with the Department of Social Rights of the Generalitat de Catalunya for the comprehensive care service for the elderly in rural areas (SAIAR) for the year 2027. Additionally, the management agreement extension with the Consell Comarcal de l'Alt Empordà for youth-related initiatives (2027-2030) will be ratified.
Other agenda items include the approval of modifications to the staff, the job classification list (RLT), and the human resources management plan, as well as the review of the quarterly reports from the comptroller for the second quarter of 2026. A modification of credits (No. 8/2026) and the approval of the General Account for the 2025 fiscal year will also be discussed.
Finally, the local holidays calendar for 2026 will be approved, with provisions made for urgent matters and requests and questions.
