The The Regen Institute has unveiled the RF+ seal in Barcelona, a pioneering certification from Alt Empordà designed to scientifically validate regenerative farming practices and ensure transparency.

Presented at the Alimentaria trade fair at Fira de Barcelona, the standard aligns with EU Directive 2024/825. It aims to provide legal certainty for brands against increasingly strict environmental labeling regulations.

"This seal is the guarantee that there is a real change in the land and on the supermarket shelf."

Francesc Font · President of The Regen Institute
Audited by Certifood, the RF+ certification focuses on soil health, carbon sequestration, and biodiversity. The initiative was founded by Francesc Font, a ninth-generation farmer from the Empordà region.
