The celebration kicks off on Friday, February 13, with the Night Parade ('Passada de nit') at 9 PM along Rhode Avenue. The night continues with dances in the marquee at Frederic Rahola square featuring cover bands Fugados de Alcatraz and Dudux DJ Show. Saturday, February 14, highlights include the Afternoon Parade ('Passada de tarda') at 4 PM and the evening concert by Hotel Cochambre.
Sunday, February 15, will be the central day, starting with the Midday Parade ('Passada de migdia') at 12 PM. In the afternoon, the orchestra La Selvatana will perform, followed by the proclamation of the senior King and Queen of the 2027 Carnival. Later, in front of Sant Pere square, the general King and Queen of the 2027 Carnival and the winners of the float competition will be announced.
The Roses Carnival is renowned for its high public participation, making it one of the most anticipated events in the Alt Empordà region.
The festival will conclude on Monday, February 16, with the popular communal rice dish ('Arrossada popular') at 1 PM at the Municipal Sports Pavilion. In the evening, at 6:30 PM, the traditional Funeral Procession of the late King Carnestoltes will take place, ending with the burial of the sardine and a pyrotechnic show at La Perola beach.
