The initiative, promoted by the Tourism Department of Roses City Council, aims to consolidate the town as a wellness tourism destination. The event will combine a conference on self-esteem and happiness with an immersive experience, both with free admission.
The inaugural event, scheduled for 7 PM, will begin with a presentation by Antoni Bolinches, a prominent figure in humanistic psychology with over forty years of experience. Bolinches is known for his publications and podcast dedicated to personal growth and emotional well-being.
Subsequently, Edgar Tarrés, a wellness tourism specialist and professor at the University of Girona, will lead an immersive experience. This practical session, inspired by the conference's concepts, will use mindfulness, breathing, and presence techniques to transform theoretical knowledge into a sensory experience.
The event will also serve to present the new edition of the Dedins wellness cycle, which will run from May to October. This program offers activities connecting nature, health, and personal awareness, aimed at both residents and visitors, with the goal of promoting a tourism model focused on people and the territory.
Wellness tourism is a growing global trend, valued at over 3 trillion dollars worldwide, according to the Global Wellness Institute. This commitment by Roses is part of the increasing demand for spaces that foster calm and emotional health in a context of accelerated living and digital hyperconnection.
