The Servei Català de Trànsit (SCT) suspended the lane for authorized coaches on the AP-7 between Martorell and Gelida this Thursday, resulting in the full closure of the southbound route for safety reasons.

The total closure of the southbound AP-7 highway was reinstated at six in the morning this Thursday, February 5, 2026, after the SCT decided to eliminate the provisional measure implemented on Wednesday. This measure consisted of a segregated and signposted lane intended to facilitate the mobility of authorized coaches to the Gelida train station.
The decision to cancel the lane stems from the fact that during Wednesday afternoon, two coaches failed to respect the established circulation limitations. These vehicles reached the exact point where the slope repair works are currently being carried out.

Due to safety concerns regarding the construction work and overall road safety, the Servei Català de Trànsit has decided to suspend the provisional measure.

The works necessitating the highway closure are being conducted to repair the embankment that collapsed following the serious railway accident that occurred on January 20. The SCT has already communicated the suspension of the lane to the Directorate of Mobility of the Department of Territory and the Federation of Passenger Transport Companies.
