The second phase of DANA-related works at the Alt Penedès Regional Hospital begins on October 15th and will last a year, primarily affecting the roof and service building.

This Thursday, October 15th, the second phase of works resulting from the DANA event of July 12, 2025, will commence at the Alt Penedès Regional Hospital. The construction, expected to last approximately one year, will primarily focus on the building's roof and service areas.
These actions involve relocating essential technical installations to elevated areas. To facilitate this, a new structure will be built on the service building's roof to house this equipment. Affected installations include the main low-voltage panel, water pumping systems, heating and heat pump production units, and the generator set.
The project also includes modifying the domestic hot water production system, replacing the current setup with an on-demand water heating system. The works are planned to minimize disruption to users and the hospital's clinical activities, as most of the construction will occur in technical spaces and on the roof.
These improvements are part of the second phase of interventions following the floods that affected the hospital in July 2025 and are funded by resources linked to the Consorci Sanitari Alt Penedès Garraf's multi-year government investment agreement for 2026-2032.
