The interventions combine cleaning and maintenance work with changes in waste collection and measures to improve mobility and road safety. A thorough cleaning of stains on sidewalks and the road is being carried out, and the containers on Ca n’Oriol road will be replaced with a side-loading model, with intensive cleaning every fifteen days.
To improve the use of public space, two litter bins will be relocated to make it difficult for vehicles to encroach on sidewalks, and the mobile recycling point totem will be moved. The Door-to-Door and Commerce Office (OPAPIC) will also visit businesses on Lourdes Street to address container saturation.
In road safety, horizontal signage will be repainted and the give-way signage renewed around the roundabout connecting Ca n’Oriol road with Sant Gaietà Street. LED lighting will be restored at pedestrian crossings, and a yellow line will be painted to prohibit parking around the roundabout.
To improve visibility, a parking space will be removed, and motorcycle parking will be regulated in key areas. A small central island will also be created to visually narrow the roadway and promote safer circulation, with the possible later installation of bollards. Finally, a new motorcycle parking area will be created.
