Vilafranca postpones Carnival arrival due to high winds

The Vilafranca del Penedès Town Council and the Carnival Commission have postponed the arrival of King Carnestoltes, originally scheduled for Thursday, due to extreme wind.

The event will now take place on Friday, February 13th, starting at 6:00 PM at Rambla de Sant Francesc. The decision was made to ensure the safety of participants and the public during the current weather episode in the Alt Penedès region.
The parade will end at Plaça de la Vila with the presentation of new costumes by Blanca Ferré and the traditional opening speech. Additionally, the Curtnaval film festival gala has been moved to Saturday, February 14th, at 8:00 PM.
