The Vilafranca del Penedès Town Council and the Ball de l'Àliga have announced a series of events to mark the centenary of the current eagle figure on April 11th.

The celebration marks the first appearance of the current sculpture on June 3rd, 1926. While the tradition dates back to 1600, the focus is on the 100-year history of the current piece.

"We never imagined that Vilafranca would love the Eagle as much as we have seen these days."
