This budget, exceeding 5.2 million euros, represents a growth of 27.9% compared to 2025. The increase is mainly due to an ambitious investment chapter reaching 1.8 million euros, which will be financed entirely through various grants provided by other institutions.
Among the most notable investments is the construction of the future primary care center (CAP), which will be located on the plot adjacent to the City Council and has a total budget of 1.5 million. The budget also allocates 300,000 euros for the renovation of municipal buildings and public roads, including the second phase of Major street and the remodeling of the old Torrents building. Additionally, 375,000 euros will be dedicated to paving and repairing various streets in the municipality.
“"This budget doubles the resources of the municipal budget from 2023, a situation that will allow us to carry out many more actions and projects. We have worked intensely in recent years to secure funding that advances Torrelles de Foix, improving municipal services, making investments, and simultaneously reducing the City Council's debt."
Both the Mayor, Sergi Vallès, and the Finance Councilor, Lídia Doblas, highlighted the improvement in the City Council's financial health, resulting from the reduction of municipal debt in recent years. During the session, the initiation of the contracting process for the CAP construction project was also approved, with the aim that works can begin next spring.
