Aerial Rescue of Woman in Codó Pools of Coll de Nargó

A 58-year-old woman was evacuated by helicopter after falling down a seven-meter slope into the Codó pools, in Alt Urgell.

The Bombers de la Generalitat carried out the rescue of a 58-year-old woman who fell into the Codó pools, located in the municipality of Coll de Nargó, in the Alt Urgell region.

The incident occurred this Tuesday, when emergency services received the alert around 1:15 PM. Immediately, a response team was activated, including a ground unit from the Bombers and personnel from the Medical Emergency System (SEM).
Due to the challenging terrain, the medicalized helicopter of the Special Actions Group (GRAE) was also mobilized to facilitate the evacuation. The woman had fallen down a slope of approximately seven meters into one of the pools.
After being attended to and immobilized by the rescue teams, the woman was transported by the GRAE helicopter to the heliport in La Seu d'Urgell. From there, she was taken to the Sant Hospital Foundation in the capital of Alt Urgell. Fortunately, her condition is not serious.
