Initial works are located in Alàs i Cerc and Estamariu. Traffic is currently being managed with alternating lanes near Alàs. These measures will continue along the 30-kilometer stretch as crews work to restore the pavement damaged during the winter season.
At the same time, repairs have begun on the A-2 highway between Cervera and la Panadella. José Crespín, the Spanish government representative in Lleida, confirmed an emergency intervention following several traffic incidents. The current contracts for these repairs total nearly 4 million euros.
“"We are acting urgently on a 3-kilometer section in each direction. The delay was due to the time required to finalize the construction contracts."
A comprehensive 13.28 million euro renovation of the A-2 in the Segarra area is planned for April. This vital route carries 30,000 vehicles daily and serves as a main toll-free link between the Pyrenees and Barcelona.
