The competition, which kicked off yesterday in Oliana, featured a challenging obstacle course with stones, logs, and sand, over a short track lasting just over a minute. Garcia, considered the top favorite, showcased his skill and speed.
The rider, who had previously won the World Championship event in Oliana last year, beat Britain's Brad Freeman by 96 hundredths of a second and Italy's Andrea Verona by almost two seconds, completing the podium. France's Zachary Pichon finished fourth, and Britain's Steven Holcombe rounded out the Top 5.
Today marks the beginning of the first of two days of the Spanish Grand Prix, which will take place on a circuit of approximately 54 kilometers entirely within the municipality of Oliana. Participants will complete three laps of the course, which will include three timed specials: a Cross Test, an Enduro Test, and an Xtreme.
