The local government of Josa i Tuixén has introduced a digital tourism project featuring Virtual Reality to preserve and promote the legacy of the traditional herb sellers.

Visitors to the Trementinaires Museum can now use VR headsets to simulate the preparation of natural ointments in a 20th-century kitchen setting. This technological leap aims to make local history more engaging for younger generations and international tourists visiting the Alt Urgell region.
The project also includes QR codes placed outside key landmarks such as Sant Esteve de Tuixent and Santa Maria de Josa. These codes allow for 360-degree mobile tours of the interiors, ensuring the heritage remains accessible even when the buildings are closed to the public.

"The municipality has great potential, but until now everything was a bit scattered and information was hard to find."

A digital scavenger hunt titled The Journey of the Trementinaires has also been launched in four languages. This initiative was supported by a grant from the Lleida Provincial Council Tourism Board to boost local tourism infrastructure.
