La Seu d'Urgell launches guided tours to explore Castellbò's feudal history

The Cathedral Museum schedules three historical tours of the collegiate church and the ancient castle of the Pyrenean viscounts.

The Cathedral Museum of La Seu d'Urgell has announced a new series of guided tours to the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria and the Castellbò castle to promote local medieval heritage.

The program, titled The Feudal Powers of Castellbò, will debut on March 14th. Additional tours are scheduled for July 25th and October 24th, highlighting the village's role as the former capital of a powerful viscounty in the Pyrenees.
Participants will visit the ruins of the fortress and the collegiate church to understand the social and religious structure of the Middle Ages. This project is supported by the Montferrer i Castellbò Town Council and the Bishopric of Urgell.
Tickets are priced at 10 euros for general admission and must be purchased in advance at the museum in La Seu d'Urgell.
