The Associació Festiva i Cultural de Tragó has opened the call for the twelfth edition of the Guillem de Belibasta Prize for short narrative, with submissions accepted until April 7, 2026.

The Guillem de Belibasta Prize for short narrative, organized by the Associació Festiva i Cultural de Tragó, reaches its twelfth edition this 2026. Works wishing to compete must be mandatorily set in a rural or natural environment, excluding urban contexts.
Each author may submit up to three writings, with a maximum length of 15 pages. The deadline for submitting works is April 7, and the names of the nine finalists will be published during June on the association's website.

The first prize is endowed with €2,000, the second with €800, and the third with €500.

The finalist works will be evaluated by a jury of literary experts, which this year includes Laura Casanovas, Isidre Domenjó, Joan Graell, Pau Bosch, and Jesús Bach as secretary. Originality, expressive richness, and careful writing will be valued.
In addition to the main prizes, the jury may grant up to two runner-up prizes (accèssits), endowed with €150 each. The awards ceremony will take place at the Centre Cívic de Tragó on August 6, and the winning works will be published in a collection edited by Edicions Salòria.
The prize is supported by institutional collaborators, including the Consell Comarcal de l’Alt Urgell and the town councils of Peramola and Oliana.
