At the request of the Associació de Ball i Dansa de la Seu d'Urgell, the central theme of the festival will be the advocacy of peace, dialogue, and coexistence. This message is reflected in the official poster, where the Carnival King (Rei Carnestoltes) appears against a background featuring the peace symbol.
Councilwoman Moreno has launched a digital campaign, coordinated with the Comarcal Council's Equality Area, to promote “conscious costumes” and avoid messages with counter-values. Furthermore, the orders issued by the Carnival King for the week of February 9 to 13 have been designed to be inclusive and barrier-free for all families.
“"This change responds to the desire to prevent the final stretch from feeling deserted, as the groups had noticed that the children were getting tired, and this way, access to the end-of-party celebration will be further facilitated for families."
The main Carnival parade, scheduled for Saturday, February 14, changes its endpoint, culminating at the Sala Sant Domènec instead of the sports area. The parade, which will start at Plaça de les Monges, will be opened by the Diables de l'Alt Urgell and the Tambuka batucada group.
To comply with Decree 112/2010 and ensure safe leisure, the Youth Party on Friday, February 13 at the l'Escorxador civic center will be divided into two age groups (12-14 years and 15-17 years). The program also maintains traditional events such as the Ball de l'Ossa i l’Indiot, organized by the Germandat de Sant Sebastià, and the burning of the Carnival King by the Diables de l'Alt Urgell.
