The Sant Agustí Library in La Seu d'Urgell will present a new comic book reading club for young people aged 14 to 18 next Monday, February 2, aiming to promote interest in graphic novels.

The new cultural proposal by the Sant Agustí Library is specifically aimed at the adolescent audience, between 14 and 18 years old, with the goal of boosting interest in graphic novels and comics. The activity intends to provide a space for meeting and debating for enthusiasts of this literary genre.
The club will be led by Aina Sellart, an Artistic Expression teacher at the Institut La Valira, who has selected five key works for the sessions. The chosen readings will address current and universal topics such as homosexuality, immigration, the Spanish Civil War, and World War II.

The initiative seeks to strengthen the library's specialized collection, which already holds about 1,500 copies, and reaffirm its commitment to promoting youth reading.

Among the selected titles are internationally renowned works such as Maus, by Art Spiegelman (session on February 23), Pardaleta, by Joana Estrela (March 23), and El arte de volar, by Antonio Altarriba and Kim (May 18). Each session will include an introductory guide about the author and the context to enrich the debate.
The official presentation of the club will take place next Monday, February 2, at 5:30 PM, in the library's multipurpose room. Registration can be formalized in person at the Sant Agustí Library or by phone.
