The Argençola Town Council has reported significant historical finds during phases 2 and 3 of the Castle Master Plan, which have exceeded the initial expectations of the restoration project.

Recent works on the upper platform and the cistern have uncovered a previously unknown archway, likely connected to an annex room. Archaeologists also found remains of the original medieval plaster, providing crucial data on Middle Ages construction techniques in the Anoia region.
Excavations in the lower levels revealed a room with arches and a walled-up door that may have been an original entrance. With the removal of three meters of debris, the site has proven to be larger than anticipated. Supported by the Government of Catalonia, the project will move into new phases starting in 2026.
