The CAP Igualada Nord health center has launched CSA-LUDABLE, a pioneering program in Igualada that treats obesity as a chronic disease through a combination of medical intervention and digital monitoring.

Currently supporting 20 participants with plans to reach 50, the initiative employs a multidisciplinary team including nurses, nutritionists, and physiotherapists. The focus shifts from simple weight loss to improving cardiovascular health and overall functional autonomy.

"The goal is to go beyond weight loss and focus on improving cardiovascular risk, functionality, and people's autonomy."

Participants utilize digital tools such as LogMeal for diet tracking and Doctomatic for health parameters. Future phases will include smartwatches to monitor physical activity, providing clinical data to help patients understand their internal metabolic progress.
