Igualada City Council has launched the tender for the 2026 summer paving plan, with an investment of 500,000 euros to renovate nearly 28,000 square meters of urban pavement.

The project, aimed at maintaining and improving the municipal road network, plans to concentrate the works between July and August. According to municipal sources, this schedule has been strategically designed to minimize disruptions to school traffic and ensure smoother execution of the works.
The interventions will cover various parts of the city, with a special focus on the les Flors neighborhood. In this area, the pavement of Avinguda Catalunya will be renewed between Plaça de Mossèn Segura and the Riera d'Òdena bridge, as well as significant sections of Avinguda de Barcelona and Carrer de Lleida.
The plan also includes interventions in Set Camins, Poble Sec, and the Comes industrial estate. Furthermore, a major project has been highlighted in the Fàtima neighborhood, where a comprehensive renovation of the Can Masarnau football field parking lot will be carried out, including upgrades to the sewage and water drainage systems.

"The works will be carried out between July and August to avoid school traffic."
