The Vilanova del Camí Primary Care Center (CAP) gathered seventeen participants on February 23 for a community walk aimed at promoting healthy habits and social interaction.

The 10-kilometer route, guided by Francesc Viera, took participants through local landmarks such as Balma de la Perdiu and the Iberian settlement of Vilar del Met. The initiative combines physical activity with the discovery of the Anoia region's natural heritage.
Health professionals Èrica Ponga Elson and Marisol Oliva i Segura joined the group, emphasizing that regular exercise helps manage chronic conditions like diabetes while fostering essential social connections to prevent isolation.

"It is increasingly proven that overcoming isolation and having healthy interpersonal relationships is a protective factor against illness."
