The Igualada City Council has launched the WhatsApp channel ‘Zona +18’, aimed at young adults aged 18 to 30, to improve communication regarding municipal resources, services, and activities.

Through the Department of Youth, the council seeks to strengthen its connection with young people and establish Igualada as a hub for university attraction. The Councillor for Youth, Carlota Carner, announced the creation of this new proximity information tool.
Via ‘Zona +18’, the Department of Youth will directly and efficiently disseminate information on municipal resources, calls for proposals, orientation programs, grants, and the calendar of activities promoted by the City Council.
Furthermore, the commitment to University Thursdays is reinforced, aiming to strengthen the bond between students and the cultural and social life of the municipality. One of the initiatives will be participation in the upcoming edition of Rec.0 on Thursday, November 5th.
The collaboration with Rec.0 will include concerts, workshops, and special discounts for young people. Notable features include musical sessions by DJ Mon and DJ Andreu Presas from Ràdio Flaixback, as well as a sneaker customization workshop. Participating brands and gastronomic stands will offer special promotions to young people who show their student ID.
