The Igualada Central Library incorporated about sixty new titles into its Local Collection during 2025. This collection, predominantly non-fiction, provides a comprehensive overview of the literary sector in the Anoia region. In the field of narrative, notable additions include works by Joan Pinyol, who returns to fiction with Hi havia una bugada i altres contes, the novel debut of Javi Fernández with L’últim Dip, David Aliaga with La lengua herida, and the second volume of short stories by Lleonard del Río, Nits d’insomni 2.

The collection allows for a comprehensive overview of the region's literary sector, covering everything from narrative and poetry to history, folklore, and social issues.

Regarding non-fiction, essays on history and folklore have significantly expanded the shelves. One of the most relevant works is the ambitious study Del Penedès als camps nazis. Deportats de l’Alt Penedès, l’Anoia, el Baix Penedès i el Garraf, by the Institut d’Estudis Penedesencs. Also included are 20 anys de memòria sardanística by Joaquim Bacardit and Alteritat festiva a Igualada by Daniel Vilarrúbias.
The collection also grows with social and environmental topics. Albert Riba, from Igualada, contributed the book on artificial intelligence Mamut o humanoide, while Carles Ma. Balsells published the collection of articles L’articlet (o escriure a la sorra).
Finally, strictly Anoia-themed works have been reinforced with studies like Els molins paperers: origen, arquitectura, funció i evolució (comarca de Capellades, 1700-1950) by Lourdes Munné. In children's literature, a dozen titles have been added, including L’esquirol Aniol se’n va a dormir by Núria Jorba and Volem un món sense plàstic by Anna Garcia and Laia Forcadell.
