The Santa Margarida de Montbui City Council has launched the third edition of the Participatory Budgets to allocate 30,000 euros of the municipal budget, with a proposal submission period running from February 2 to February 23.

This participatory democracy process seeks to consolidate more transparent and inclusive governance, allowing citizens to actively engage in decision-making. The available budget can be used for investment or service projects, with a maximum limit of 15,000 euros (VAT included) per proposal.
The first phase, starting next Monday, will allow proposals to be submitted through the Participa311 participation platform. All individuals over 16 years old with a connection to the municipality—whether through residency, work, or representing a local entity—can participate.

Submitted projects must be technically viable, economically quantifiable, fall under municipal jurisdiction, and generate a collective benefit.

To facilitate understanding of the project, an informative meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 11, at 6:00 PM at Mont-Àgora. Additionally, on Saturday, February 14, municipal technical staff will promote the initiative at the local market.
Proposals are divided into two main types: investment projects (material actions such as improvements to public spaces or buildings) and specific services or programs (social, cultural, educational, or sports activities).
