The Ovihuec.dat project has introduced a new comic book written in Aranese to educate students in the Val d'Aran about the vital role of extensive farming in landscape preservation.

The presentation took place at the Era Alquimia bookstore in Vielha. The story follows two siblings, Jòrdi and Ariadna, who travel from Barcelona to visit their relatives in the mountains, learning about the local ecosystem along the way.
Toni Dalmau, lead researcher from IRTA, highlighted the use of innovation such as geolocation collars and virtual fencing. These technologies help researchers study how public herds can effectively manage the environment and prevent forest fires.
Local councilors Oriol Sala and Angela Cases visited several schools, including Escola Garona and the Institut d'Aran. Students participated in interactive games before receiving their own copies of the comic, which aims to foster appreciation for traditional farming among the youth.
