The Government has presented the National Industry Pact 2026-2030, endowed with 5 billion euros and 190 measures, with a special focus on industrial development and bioeconomy in the Pyrenees.

The National Industry Pact 2026-2030 will mobilize a total of 5 billion euros for the development of 190 measures. This plan, based on consensus between the Government, business organizations, unions, and other key stakeholders, aims to increase productivity, leverage decarbonization, and build a more resilient industry.
In the Pyrenees, the pact emphasizes bioeconomy as a development opportunity, utilizing local natural resources. The new IRTA headquarters in the Pyrenees will foster innovation in the mountain agri-food sector. The plan also addresses sustainable tourism as a territorial project, seeking integration of strategies and cross-border cooperation.
The pact aligns with the missions proposed by Mario Draghi for the competitiveness of the European Union, focusing on productivity enhancement, promoting sustainability through decarbonization, and strengthening industrial resilience against global challenges.
Additionally, support measures for the commercial sector in Catalonia have been detailed, with a total of 13.17 million euros projected for 2026. These funds, managed by the Consorci de Comerç, Artesania i Moda de Catalunya (CCAM) and the Direcció General de Comerç, will support associative networks, modernization, rural commerce, and trade fairs, complemented by a 16 million euro financing line from the ICF.
