The Mossos d'Esquadra police force arrested a 33-year-old man last Wednesday in Vielha after he allegedly stabbed his stepbrother in the head during a domestic altercation.

The incident took place inside the family home in the capital of the Aran Valley. During a heated argument, the suspect reportedly used a knife to inflict an eight-centimeter wound on the victim's head and neck area.
Emergency services transported the victim to the Espitau Val d'Aran in serious condition, where he received stitches for his injuries. The attacker was detained on charges of attempted murder and domestic abuse.
The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Western Pyrenees Police Region is currently leading the investigation to clarify the motives behind the violent assault.
