The Alt Pirineu and Aran Territorial School Council was officially constituted this Wednesday in Tremp, marking a new era of local participation in the region's educational governance.

Chaired by Carlota Valls, head of the Territorial Services for Education, the council brings together diverse stakeholders, including local councils, unions, and parents' associations. The meeting took place at the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia, focusing its first debate on how schools should address the climate crisis.
This body is part of a network of over ten councils across Catalonia designed to ensure that Generalitat educational policies are closely aligned with the specific needs of each territory through regular dialogue and consultation.
