The Ocell de Foc Alt Pirineu i Aran and the Ateneu Cooperatiu have launched the application period for the Tossal Awards, aiming to boost cooperative entrepreneurship in the region.

This second edition of the awards focuses on sustainable economic activities. The application window is open from March 15 to April 15, targeting projects that demonstrate a strong commitment to the local environment and social values.
The competition features two main categories: a 3,000 euro prize for the best new cooperative and a 1,000 euro prize for social economy initiatives led by young people aged 16 to 30. All candidates will receive expert guidance on financial viability and organizational structure during the process.
Last year, the Obrador Saió project was recognized as the best new cooperative. Organizers are particularly encouraging youth participation this year after the junior category saw no winners in the previous edition, emphasizing their goal to foster collective social initiatives in the Alt Pirineu and Aran.
