The Vincles Alt Pirineu-Aran program provided personalized support to 205 elderly residents between 2023 and 2025 to tackle unwanted loneliness in highly dispersed rural areas.

The scheme operated in 30 municipalities across 271 population centers struggling with aging populations and limited service access. Using Big Data technology, the project identified 2,845 individuals at risk through 40 specific indicators.

"We have placed mountain regions at the forefront of social innovation by adapting to the unique characteristics of each county."
