Bages awards seven new establishments for sustainability and quality

The region achieves a high satisfaction score of 9.03 and focuses on wine tourism and cycling for 2026.

The Valentí Fuster Auditorium in Cardona hosted the annual Bages Tourism sector meeting on Wednesday, gathering sixty professionals to celebrate the region's growth and award new quality certifications.

Three new entities, including the Castelltallat Astronomical Observatory, received the Biosphere Sustainability certification. Additionally, four establishments joined the Tourist Information Points (PIT) program. Currently, the Bages region boasts 58 accredited information points and 35 businesses committed to sustainable tourism practices.

Visitor satisfaction remains high, with a global score of 9.03 out of 10, which is 0.70 points above the average for the Barcelona province. Natural and cultural attractions, particularly Montserrat, received the highest ratings, while accommodation services saw a 1.5% improvement in their digital reputation compared to the previous year.
Looking ahead to 2026, strategic priorities include consolidating the DO Pla de Bages Wine Route and promoting cycle tourism. The region, recognized as a Unesco Global Geopark, aims to strengthen its identity through landscape, culture, and gastronomy.
