The Mossos d'Esquadra have dismantled a large-scale cryptocurrency farm in Sant Vicenç de Castellet that allegedly stole over 860,000 euros worth of electricity through illegal grid connections.

During the raid on February 26 at the Les Vives industrial estate, officers found 88 high-performance computers. The investigation was triggered last October due to suspicious energy consumption levels.
A 34-year-old man appeared before a judge in Manresa this Monday. Authorities warned that the illegal three-phase connection posed a significant fire hazard to the surrounding area.
