Teaching unions and the Department of Education failed to resolve their labor dispute this Friday, meaning the planned strikes for March will proceed as scheduled across Catalonia.

While some unions like USTEC and CCOO reported minor progress, the 25% salary supplement increase offered by the Government was deemed insufficient. Meanwhile, other groups like CGT boycotted the meeting, accusing officials of wasting time.
A key point of agreement was the limitation of 'profiled' teaching positions to 3%, aiming to prioritize merit over interviews. The administration also pledged to update the inclusive education decree and limit welcome classes to 18 students.
