The Kursaal Theater in Manresa recorded 98,355 spectators during 2025, the best figure since its reopening in 2007, driven by a broader program and the success of major musicals.

The Kursaal Theater in Manresa, managed by Manresana d'Equipaments Escènics (MEES), closed the 2025 financial year with a historic record of 98,355 spectators, surpassing the previous mark achieved in 2023 by 500 people. This milestone occurs in the year of the eighteenth anniversary of the venue's reopening, in February 2007.

"The entire program is improving, with more audience across all genres and an increasingly diversified offer. This is what makes us feel more secure."

Jordi Basomba · Manager of Manresana d'Equipaments Escènics
The increase in audience is largely explained by the programming of large-format musicals, which accounted for over 17,000 spectators. Shows like Mamma Mia!, El Petit Príncep (The Little Prince), and El fil invisible (The Invisible Thread) sold out. Nevertheless, theater remains the star genre, with 29,699 spectators, followed by concerts, which increased to 69 performances.
Overall occupancy rose four points, reaching 79.08%, with more than 70 sold-out performances. The manager, Jordi Basomba, highlighted public confidence reflected in the increase in subscribers: the Toc de Teatre cycle grew by 30% in three years, and the Toc d'Òpera cycle doubled.

"The figures are important, especially because they demonstrate the quality and the positive assessment that the public makes of a theater with a territorial vocation."

In addition to artistic successes, the Kursaal finalized the second phase of energy efficiency investments in 2025, eliminating the use of gas boilers and installing LED lighting and photovoltaic panels. These improvements have allowed electricity consumption to be reduced by 20% compared to 2024.
