The Minister of Territory, Sílvia Paneque, confirmed that Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) will take over the RL3 and RL4 railway lines this autumn, replacing the current Renfe service.

The new service will offer 14 daily trips in each direction between Lleida and Cervera, adding three more trains to the current schedule. New rolling stock is expected to arrive in April to support the expansion. The transition aims to provide a more reliable service following recent disruptions in the regional rail network.
The agreement with Adif also grants FGC the management of 14 stations, including Rajadell and Aguilar de Segarra in the Bages region. Planned upgrades include real-time passenger information systems, new ticket vending machines, and building renovations to match the standards of the Lleida-la Pobla line.
