The Gimnàstic de Manresa youth squad suffered a narrow 0-1 home defeat against FC Girona this Sunday at Gimnàstic Parc, in a match heavily affected by heavy rainfall.

The decisive moment occurred in the 19th minute when Toni López scored from the penalty spot. Although Girona was reduced to ten men following Aleix Mariné's red card for a foul on David Martínez, the visitors managed to defend their lead until the final whistle.
During the second half, Manresa dominated possession and created several chances, but Girona's goalkeeper Pau López delivered a standout performance. Late efforts from Rapha Nkosi and a header by Guiu Monsó in stoppage time were not enough to break the visiting defense.
The local team remains 11th in the league standings, holding a six-point cushion above the relegation zone.
