The Gimnàstic de Manresa youth squad was beaten 1-6 by league leaders Espanyol this Sunday, following a decisive red card in the second half.

The match remained competitive during the first 45 minutes. David Martínez scored for the hosts to cancel out Víctor Mullerat's opener, but Martí Rivas restored the visitors' lead just before half-time.
The game took a drastic turn when local goalkeeper Jan Lagunas was sent off. Espanyol capitalized on the advantage with goals from Aarón Soriano, Eloi Tost, Denis Cruz, and a penalty by Makar Kotovshchikov.
This result leaves the Manresa side in eleventh place, just two points above the relegation zone, with a pending fixture against FC Barcelona still to be played.
