The Junts per Manresa municipal group will present a motion this Thursday calling for the Spanish Government to transfer ownership of 260 properties held by Sareb to the local council.

Group leader Ramon Bacardit explained that acquiring these assets would help address the lack of affordable housing in Manresa. He criticized Sareb for neglecting the properties, noting that some have been illegally occupied, leading to social friction.

"Sareb does not take care of these homes, some of which are occupied and generate coexistence problems with the neighborhood."

Additionally, councilor Lluïsa Tulleuda will question the local government regarding delays in updating terrace regulations. The party claims the current ordinance, dating back to 2015, needs urgent revision following temporary changes made during the pandemic.
